Inside the Supply Chain and Purchasing Industry

Season’s Greetings from TMA

December 20, 2010

All of us at TMA (Tim, Kathy, Les, Nancy, and Michael) wish you the very best of the holiday season. Please click here for an annual Christmas Card.

The year 2010 has been one for ups and downs as we gradually cycle out of a slowly recovering economy. Despite an earlier trend of downsizing and layoffs in the past few years, clients (as late as this week) are reporting interviewing as many as 80 candidates – for one position, before calling Tim Moore Associates for our search assistance.

We too have noticed varying fill times for our recruitment efforts – as short as one week, to as long as several months for that unique, very hard to find supply chain specialist. "You’ve found that needle in a haystack we couldn’t find!" claimed one of Nancy’s latest (satisfied) customers.

And yes, some clients are still interviewing during the holiday season and we’re booking interviews; while the list of new searches, to launch at the start of the new year, are coming in.

For candidates, now is the time to reflect on your achievements during the year, and to dust off and update that resume on file at TMA. Send your updated resume to updates@timmooreassociates.com.

For employers, please avoid the new year’s rush, by calling us as soon as you’re aware of a possible supply chain talent requirement, over the next 2 – 3 months.

All the very best of the holiday season. Please check out our latest Supply jobs listed at the side.
